Two lawmakers of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) in the far-western state assembly are divided.

Krishna Bahadur Chaudhary, elected from Kailali Constituency No. 1 (a), has chosen the Democratic Socialist Party led by Mahanta Thakur. He has also identified himself by choosing LOSPA.

According to the Dhangadhi office of the Provincial Election Commission, Chaudhary identified himself as a member of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party on Monday afternoon.

After Chaudhary's election to the Lok Sabha, there is only one member from the party in the state assembly, Malamati Kumari Rana.

Rana, who was elected from the then Rashtriya Janata Party in the last election, had been supporting the Thakur group in the past. But after the party formally split, she remained in the party.

With the split of JSP and UML, six parties have been formed in the Far Western Provincial Assembly.

The UCPN (Maoist) is the first party with 14 MPs, the UCPN (Maoist) is the second party with 13 MPs, the Nepali Congress is the third party with 12 MPs and the CPN-UML is the fourth party with 11 MPs.
