 Today is food day

Today is the day before the great women's festival Haritalika Teej. On the eve of the Teej festival, it is customary for Nepali Hindu women to fast for Teej.

There is a tradition of making various sweet dishes and having fun by dancing and singing.

The day after the rate meal, Teej falls. As fasting on the day of fasting, nutritious food is eaten the previous evening to gain strength for it.

The time and place of display vary from place to place. In some places, it is customary to eat tar in the evening without eating anything else, while in some places it is customary to eat tar first and eat tar at midnight.

In ancient times, it was customary for Goddess Parvati to fast for Lord Shiva, believing that her wish would be fulfilled.
