Nine arrested from Surkhet on a charge of raping a teenager
Police have arrested nine people from Surkhet on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.
The girl had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Babiyachaur, alleging that she had been repeatedly raped by various people.
According to SP Padma Bahadur Bista of the District Police Office, Surkhet, the Area Police Office, Babiyachaur has arrested nine persons based on the complaint.
According to SP Bista, the arrested are Dambar Wadi, Ganesh Wadi, Yuvraj Shahi, Shobha Shahi, Baburam Puri, Prem Budhathoki, Sher Bahadur Sarki, Om Darlami and Prem Bahadur Shahi of Panchpuri. Police said that they were working from the bus counter to the driver.
Bista informed that the district court has extended the term and further investigation has been started on them. According to the police, the raped girl is pregnant.
